Room Conversation
When air is increased in the body the hearts beats like that.
Kavirāja:
Boliya. [Transl. Tell me.]
Prabhupāda:
Hmm.
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Do you feel little strength?]
Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Yes.]
Bhakti-cāru:
He’s asking whether Śrīla Prabhupāda is feeling stronger. He said yes.
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Today he has passed stool.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Yes, passed. Just now we gave him milk.]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Let me examine Mahārājaji little.]
Prabhupāda:
Hmm.
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Alright.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Alright?]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. First thing is, now I am giving you 2/3 small packets of medicines. One packet at night… he speaks too much also no? So one packet is given for his heart. Now his pulse rate is ninety.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Pulse is okay?]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. It is normal.]
Bhakti-cāru:
He’s saying that Prabhupāda’s pulse is ninety, which is normal, and he gave three other medicines for Prabhupāda’s heart.
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Today there is no gap at all in his pulse beat. The gap we detected in between is not there now.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. When?]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Gradually it went away.]
Bhakti-cāru:
That missing beat that Prabhupāda was having—that’s no more there.
Prabhupāda:
Hmm? What is that?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:
You were having a missing beat in your pulse.
Prabhupāda:
Huh?
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Sometimes, Śrīla Prabhupāda, the pulse was stopping…means.]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Gap, gap]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Gap was there.]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Not today though.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. That is not happening today. That’s a very good sign.]
Prabhupāda:
[Transl. What did he say? I can’t understand.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Your heart beat, pulse rate, sometimes one to two beats, one beat was missing in between.]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. After every six or seven beats there was a gap. When air is increased in the body the hearts beats like that. This condition you had yesterday also. After every ten or twelve beats there was a gap. But today there is nothing like that. Today it is regular. Only thing, is Mahārāja kindly speak less at least for a few days. This is my request. You speak in your mind only. The longer you keep silence, this is all of your opinion that by keeping silence you will build up so much strength and energy. And by speaking one exhausts energy.]
Bhakti-cāru:
He is telling that he’s requesting repeatedly that Prabhupāda doesn’t talk too much. He says that the energy that he’s building, the moment he starts talking, that he loses that energy.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:
Is that all right, Śrīla Prabhupāda?
Prabhupāda:
No, how to say all right? [devotees chuckle]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. How to say all right?]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Was he having flatulence in the stomach before also?]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Sometimes it happened. Whenever he drinks milk or fruit juice it happens like that.]
Kavirāja:
[Transl. I see]
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:
Trying to stop Śrīla Prabhupāda from speaking is like trying to stop the Gaṅgā.
Kavirāja:
[Transl. Swāmījī, Let me tell you something. I have seen lakhs of patients. But your machine is a very special machine. Do you understand what I mean to say? In one minute many things happen, and in the next minute it seems nothing was there. It is totally correct. Means, this cannot happen to ordinary human being. That is a fact. Just like day before yesterday morning you had weakness and felt little pain, usually it takes six hours to subside pain, but in one minute, within five minutes it was under control. How to understand this? What kind of pastime is that? Now that period of yours has passed. You used to tell me something about your chart, no? From yesterday I am confident that you will certainly get well. There is no doubt about it. This final act will surely be conducted by the Supreme Lord. Of this there is no doubt. There is no second person to do it. Just like you took milk yesterday, if you will continue to take milk or fruit juice like that you will gain strength within a week.]
Bhakti-cāru:
[Transl. Let me explain to them in English what you have just said.] Shastrijī’s saying that he’s seen lakhs of patients, but he hasn’t seen a body like Śrīla Prabhupāda’s. Like in one moment it is very critical, and the next moment it’s in perfect order. And he is now absolutely confident that Prabhupāda is going to get well.
Jagadīśa:
He is or isn’t?
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:
He is. We also are.
Bhakti-cāru:
And he’s just requesting Śrīla Prabhupāda that he keeps on taking the milk and the fruit juice and the medicine.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa:
Is that all right, Śrīla Prabhupāda? [end]
