therefore the Supreme Personality of Godhead has personally appered as Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

Prabhupāda:
…therefore the Supreme Personality of Godhead has personally appered as Caitanya Mahāprabhu. It is recommended in the śāstra that kalau dhari-kīrtanāt [SB. 12.3.52]

Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
kṛṣṇa-varṇaṁ tviṣākṛṣṇaṁ
sāṅgopāṅgāstra-pārṣadam
yajñaiḥ saṅkīrtana-prāyair
yajanti hi su-medhasaḥ
[SB. 11.5.32]

This is the scriptural injunction. The form of the Supreme Lord in Kali-yuga is Caitanya Mahāprabhu. He is present before you. Simply by performing Hari-kirtana, just like these people have demonstrated it by following the footsteps of Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Caitanya Mahāprabhu has displayed us and we follow Him. We belong to Caitanya sampradāya. People have become so foolish in Kali-yuga as I have already said earlier, that they don’t know religious principles or anything. Therefore to revive them this is the only alternative.

kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya
mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet
[SB. 12.3.51]

If you simply chant Hare Kṛṣṇa then gradually you will become liberated and go to the supreme abode of the Lord. This is called dharma or religion. Since people are so much degraded in Kali-yuga, the Supreme Lord has appeared as the holy name, the holy name of Kṛṣṇa. You kindly adopt it and you will be happy.

kalau nāstyeva nāstyeva nāstyeva gatir anyatāḥ.
[Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa 38.126]

If you accept the holy name of Kṛṣṇa then only by this Hare Kṛṣṇa name you will become purified. ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanaṁ [Śikṣāṣṭaka 1] All contaminations within your mind will be cleansed. Ceto-darpaṇa, then you will understand what your position is. And to advance further, kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. [Bg. 18.73] That is wanted. In the beginning Na kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. At first it was, but the Supreme Lord chastised him that “You have come to the battlefield and why you are becoming emotional that I will not fight? Is that the behavior of a gentleman? anārya-juṣṭam [Bg. 2.2]

This is not gentlemanly. That is ungentlemanly. You are so fool. You came to fight. You are My friend known to Me and you are declining to fight?” That was his desire. The Supreme Lord says, you fight, but Na kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. No. I will not follow Your advise. But after hearing Bhagavad-gītā he concluded, kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. That “Na” was missing. No more “Na.” Yes, I will do. This change took place. It is not difficult to understand. Before it was, na kariṣye vacanaṁ tava, then it became, kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. This change should take place. One who changes like this that what the Supreme Lord is saying in Bhagavad-gītā, kariṣye vacanaṁ tava, I will do, his reading of Bhagavad-gītā is successful. Otherwise he remains a fool.

na māṁ duṣkṛtino mūḍhāḥ
prapadyante narādhamāḥ
[Bg. 7.15]

So it is the duty of everyone to read Bhagavad-gītā and become intelligent to follow the, kariṣye vacanaṁ tava. We will do what the Supreme Lord instructs.

Caitya guru:
I already told all of you before that if anyone has any question then, first you offer humble obeisances.

tad viddhi praṇipātena
paripraśnena sevayā
[Bg. 4.34]

There are two questions. One may be a learned scholar but what actually the symptom of a guru?

Prabhupāda:
Guru is he who preaches what the Supreme Personality of Godhead says. The Supreme Lord says,

sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
[Bg. 18.66]

That is dharma. And the business of the guru is, “Look, you give up all other religion and surrender unto the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa.” That’s all. Then he is a guru. Otherwise all others are cheaters. One who becomes Kṛṣṇa himself, he is a cheater. And one who says that surrender to the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, he is a guru. That’s the only difference. Now you judge yourself what one says. If he repeats what Kṛṣṇa says, mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja, if the guru also says, “Look, you take shelter at the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself. You surrender to Him.” He is guru. And he who speaks all nonsense, he is not guru. This is the point. Both things. You check it yourself.

Caitya guru:
The first battle was between Rāma and Rāvaṇa. The second battle took place with Kṛṣṇa during Mahābhārata. What will be the third battle?

Prabhupāda:
In the third battle you have to fight. You are an incarnation. [chuckles] What will happen in the third… Be at the second battle for now. What the Supreme Lord has said in the second battle you inquire about that. Then you inquire about the third. Now the Supreme Lord says, sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja [Bg. 18.66] follow that. Then what He will instruct in the third time…There is third time, Caitanya Mahāprabhu. He says,

harer nāma harer nāma
harer nāmaiva kevalam
kalau nāsty eva nāsty eva
nāsty eva gatir anyathā
[Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa 38.126]

This is the statement of the śāstra. Caitanya Mahāprabhu didn’t invent it. This verdict is found in Bṛhan-Nāradīya-Purāṇa. In Kali-yuga only by chanting the name of Hari, harer nāma harer nāma harer nāmaiva kevalam. You chant and you will be benefitted. You will be liberated. You will be happy.

Caitya guru:
Someone asked this question. Śrī Sai Baba says he is Bhagavāna. If so, then is he a guru?

Prabhupāda:
We don’t know all this. [chuckles] We are fools. We only know Kṛṣṇa. We are not very learned. We just know one thing that kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam [SB. 1.3.28]

That’s all. All others are thieves. Tell me what more?

Caitya guru:
Anyone has any more questions?

Prabhupāda:
That’s all. Enough for today.

Caitya guru:
Now all of you….. [end]
