They are thinking whether it is yellow or green we will slaughter cow and eat.

Hari-śauri:
That’s all right. Okay. You’re recording this.

Harikeśa:
What about to pause it, though? [break]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Not a single drop of rain. The whole field turned yellow. No more greenness at all. There is little coolness at night hence some greenness is found here and there.]

Indian man:
[Transl. It’s so hot there?]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Everything has spoiled. But they don’t care. They will kill cow and eat. They are thinking whether it is yellow or green we will slaughter cow and eat.] They are thinking, “Let it be green or yellow, it doesn’t matter. We shall cut the throat of the animals and eat. “But how long you will eat animal, if there is no greenness? They are already cutting the animals premature. There is no… [Transl. There is nothing to eat. Could you arrange for me an expert cook?]

Indian man:
[Transl. For what?]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. He will cook for me. You know, these people don’t know anything. They somehow mix things together and give me to eat.]

Indian man:
[Transl. Yes, Mahārājajī. If you order, a good cook can be arranged.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. So bring me one. Bring a cook immediately so that at least while I am here I can have, and also they will learn from him.]

Indian man:
[Transl. Okay sir.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. And whatever you think is reasonable I can…]

Indian man:
[Transl. No. No. That’s no problem.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. No. He must be compensated for his labor.]

Indian man:
[Transl. We have one lady cook here.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Yes, yes. Anybody.]

Indian man:
[Transl. I will send her to you. She can teach everyone.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Yes. Send her immediately.]

Indian man:
[Transl. Okay. I will go now and send her. May be she can come here in your car.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. A sannyāsī is not suppose to eat luxuriously, but what can be done? The body also needs to be maintained. At night we can experience how God has created so many small, tiny aeroplanes.] With pilot. Very small. Minute. Just like construction like aeroplane. With pilot to stay. [Transl. Can they create?] Ask any scientist.

Indian man:
[Transl. I came here 4 o’ clock in the morning. Last night I set the alarm at 4 o clock. I came but I didn’t want to disturb you. I saw the light was on and you are dictating.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. I was doing dictation.]

Indian lady:
[Transl. Would Mahārājajī take something?]

Indian man:
[Transl. No. Mahārājajī won’t take anything.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Sit down.]

Indian lady:
[Transl. Kindly take something little, no?]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. I already took something in the morning.]

Indian man:
[Transl. Took some breakfast. How fortunate we all are!]

Indian lady:
[Transl. We are fortunate.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. So you call that lady and bring her.]

Indian man:
[Transl. Svāmiji Mahārāja wants an expert cook. Papriben is good. I will go right now and bring her.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. I eat at about 1:30 pm. And these people can also learn.] Amongst the whole lot she knows, this girl…

Indian man:
Pālikā.

Prabhupāda:
…Pālikā.

Indian man:
Yes. She has gone yesterday.

Harikeśa:
She learned here.

Indian man:
[Transl. She learned from here only.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Oh really?]

Indian man:
[Transl. Two, three years ago] first pandal she was staying here, and she was coming very often and learning from all these ladies.

Indian lady:
[Transl. Should I bring some puffed rice?]

Indian man:
[Transl. He won’t eat anything now.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. You can give me all at once.]

Indian man:
[Transl. Wait. Just sit here. His health is not well.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. After 8 o clock….]

Indian man:
[Transl. He has fixed time.]

Prabhupāda:
So we shall go now?

Hari-śauri:
Yes, everything’s ready. [break]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. …and paścim darajā sadā tāpa and uttara darajā ghar kā pāpa. This is Bengal’s estimation. Dakṣiṇa darajā gharera rāja, purba darajā ghar kā prajā. Paścim darajā sadā tāpa, uttara darajā ghar kā pāpa. [South-facing house is best, east facing door brings good progeny, west facing door gives heat, and north facing door is miserable.] Houses should not have door facing north.

Indian man:
[Transl. Usually houses here don’t have doors facing north.]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. It is very hot in summer and very cold in winter. It is exactly what you want to avoid. House with south facing gate is best. It will remain cool in summer and warm in winter.] Because the sun passes…

Indian man:
East to west.

Prabhupāda:
East to west. [Transl. Dakṣiṇāyana. Uttarāyana and dakṣiṇāyana: The motion of sun going from south to north, and the motion of sun going from north to south.]

Indian man:
[Transl. It’s called Saṅkrānti: Passage of the sun from one zodiacal sign to another.]

Prabhupāda:
Where is Mahāṁsa Mahārāja? He is not here?

Harikeśa:
Can somebody go find Mahāṁsa?

Yaśomatinandan:
He was here. Just trying to bringing some things for you.

Prabhupāda:
That’s all right. So? We have got the key? Not here.

Devotee:
[indistinct]

Prabhupāda:
[Transl. Do kīrtana. Hare Kṛṣṇa.]

[07:11] Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.
